From Concept to Immersive Reality: Bringing the Interior Design to Life
To help our clients fully visualise the proposed redesign, we produced a series of high quality CGI interior renders that brought the new layout, atmosphere, and spatial flow to life. Building on this, an interactive walkthrough allowed them to explore the redesigned ground floor in real time, experiencing the space exactly as it would feel once complete.
For a truly immersive experience, the walkthrough was also delivered via a virtual reality headset, enabling the clients to step inside their future home and confidently engage with the new configuration before any physical work began.
Greenway House features a generously proportioned entrance hallway which, despite its scale, previously felt subdued due to the existing layout. Our approach reconfigured the ground floor in line with the client’s brief, while prioritising the introduction of natural light and improved spatial flow.
A new large-format sliding door was introduced to the kitchen, alongside a glazed connection between the kitchen and hallway, allowing daylight to permeate deep into the home. This intervention also strengthens the relationship between interior spaces and the garden, with a new decking area extending the sense of living outdoors.
In addition, a newly formed lobby space was created off the hallway, acting as a light-filled transition between the garden, living area, and kitchen. Glazed doors within this space further enhance brightness and connectivity throughout the ground floor.
In response to the client’s brief, the living room was redesigned to feel both inviting and generous, with the flexibility to comfortably host guests. The original long, narrow layout and hallway entrance disrupted flow and limited furniture options.
By relocating the living room access to the newly formed lobby, the space was rebalanced and optimised. This allowed for a large U shaped sofa arrangement seating up to ten, anchored around a bespoke feature wall incorporating a log burner and a 60-inch television creating a natural focal point for relaxed family living and entertaining.
A discreet built-in workspace was also integrated alongside the feature wall, complete with backlit shelving and concealed storage, providing a practical yet elegant home office solution that blends seamlessly into the room.
The kitchen was reimagined as a light filled, social space that adapts effortlessly to both everyday family life and entertaining. A new large format sliding door connects the interior to the garden, flooding the space with natural light and extending the dining area outdoors during warmer months. In winter, the space becomes a cosy hub for gatherings around an eight-seat dining table, enhanced by the reintroduction of a chimney and log burner.
The former utility area was reconfigured into a lobby space, improving circulation between the kitchen and living areas. A generous kitchen island now anchors the room, providing a primary workspace alongside casual seating, while discreet built-in storage offers flexible options for housing appliances or display furniture, depending on the client’s preference.
